Youngsters Back In Woodhouse With Fine Langley Win

Just when you thought Hythe's chances in the Woodhouse for this year was over ~ the H&D youngsters pull off an exciting win over Langley Manor at QE2.

The game did have its incidents as Langley claimed Dan Duell didnt walk when caught behind. But its down to the umpire to decide and nothing will take away what a great win this was.

Langley Manor batted first and posted 176-8. Eithen Terris again showed fine form with 47, Daniel Munday 40 & Todd Garner 34. For Hythe Dan mixed his bowlers up well using all 10 outfield players. Finn Coppack taking 2 for 5 and there were also first senior wickets for Finn Hall & Billy Parry.

Hythe's run chase saw Tom & Dan Jones add 75 for the 2nd wicket. Tom was run out for 28 before Dan went onto score his first H&D fifty and retiring at 68*. Dan Duell too retired at 34* but with Ben Jones 19* Hythe got home with 4 overs remaining.
