11 May
Run Fest @ Jones Lane

The 1st XI opened up their league campaign against a very useful Bournemouth 2s side boosted by several new signings.

Any concerns Chiv had about the pitch were discarded on hearing 623 runs had been scored. A record for a League game.

Bournemouth batted first and poor bowling and dropped catches didnt help the Hythe cause. Bournemouth scoring  343-8 off their 50 overs. Keegan Fortune took 4-51 whilst Tim Ndowora was the only bowler to stay under 5 an over

Hythe though did show some bottle in the chase thanks largely to Will McKay who scored 72. Tom Richards made 46, Ben Holbrook 41 and their was even a late cameo from Alex Nicholas 38. Hythe finishing on 280-9

Match Result :

Bournemouth Beat H&D 1st XI by 63 Runs
