Jonjo On Fire As H&D Through To Quarter-Finals.

SOUTH HANTS INDOOR LEAGUE

CUP 2nd ROUND

Hythe & Dibden Vs Fair Oak

A superb 63* from Jonjo Stovell helped Hythe's Indoor team to a 160 run chase over Fair Oak and into the Quarter-Finals with 3 balls remaining.

Fair Oak (who are 8th in Div 1) set a tough challenge after Harry Reed hit 51* well supported by Matt White 25* & Ben Hyde 22*.

For Hythe Martin Duell was the pick of the bowlers with 1-27 off 3 whilst Dan Taylor took 2 wickets.

So with 13.5 an over ~ a good start was required but the normal main run getter Matt Howe was out early for a duck. Stovell & Dan Taylor both retired then Duell 18 and Craig Stow 19 kept Hythe with an outside chance.

Taylor was out early on his return but Stovell kept his head and guided Hythe into the Quarters and cause an upset with 3 balls remaining

Next up Hursley Park in the League
