Hythe In a Hurry as Burgers Cooking

Another of Kev Mcs late Saturday bookings saw Hythe travel to The Quarters to face a Hursley Park XI.

Hythe elected to bat first and hit 191-9 off their 40 overs. Martin Duell hit 26, Andy Murkitt 22 but top score was Tariq Iqbal who hit 33.

For Hursley J.Marsh took 3-19 & their was 2 wickets a piece for Tom Burns & Matt Dowling.

Hursley Park's reply was surprising considering they had some decent names out there. But take nothing away from the Hythe bowlers who could smell the barbeque warming up from pitch side. Hursley were bwoled out for just 34 with Tom Jones in aggresive mood taking 4-12. Dan Duell & Ben Holbrook took 2 wickets a piece.

A good last minute booking of a game and thanks to Hursley Park for being great hosts.

RESULT :  Hythe & Dibden Sun XI Beat Hursley Park 157 Runs
