Hythe Beat Fair Oak 3s/4s In Friendly
Whilst the 1s were finding it hard going against the Fair Oak 1st XI ~ Kev McCarthy had found a friendly fixture against Fair Oak 4s at Swanmore on the artificial.
Hythe batted first and the top order enjoyed themselves as the top 4 all retired in the 50s not out.
Harry Parker made 50* Martin Duell 51*. Then Tariq Iqbal blitzed 5x5s & 5x6s in a quick fire 20 ball 52*. Andy Murkitt then hit 52* and useful runs down the list from Fletcher 11, Knight-Owen 12* & Dan Duell 16* saw Hythe to 295-3
Fair Oak were never going to challenge Hythe's total but they put up a good challenge in scoring 209-3 with their top 4 all scoring 30+.
Jack Knight-Owen was the pick of the Hythe bowling 2-23 off 5 whilst Steve Rollinson bowled 6 overs 0-16.
