H&D 3s In a Shocker vs Lymington
The final game of the season for the 3rd XI and a trip back down to earth after the win against Bashley last time out.
Lymington looked weaker than 3 weeks ago but the toss was vital after 5 days of rain & guess what ~ we lost it ~ Hythe to bat first.
When your up against experience like Trevor Phillips you have to be cautious & concentrate but after just 2 overs Hythe had Wayne Effeny back sat down. Things didnt get any better as Hythe slumped to 18-5 with both their scorers from the previous week all gone.
The only one to show some pride Martin Duell who hit 33* ~ no one else getting into double figures and Hythe all out for just 66. Simon Morris 3-6 & Toby Sykes 3-11 doing the damage.
Lymington took just 7.4 overs to reach their target. They did lose Chris Tollerfield for for 26 @ 55 but Ben Sykes 27* & Dan Bromley 13* saw Lymo home. Tariq Islam took the only wicket to fall.
RESULT : Lymington 3s Beat Hythe & Dibden 3rd XI by 9 Wkts
