Hythe & Dibden hosted their good friends Braishfield at Jones Lane on Sunday but sadly the Romsey side were very depleted and struggled out in the sunshine.

Hythe batted first and scored 233-7 in 34.4 overs before declaring. Ben Jones hit his 2nd fifty of the short season sharing in a 2nd wicket partnership of 96 with brother Tom. Earlier Steve Rollinson had made 28 opening the batting.

Tom retired 50* to allow others to bat and Ryan O'Connor hit 21, Dan Taylor 35. For Braishfield John Fahy the pick of the bowlers 1-21 off 5.

Braishfield were without their double centurian aussie against Hythe ~ and other than Dick Manser who hit an excellent 35 the others folded to the wizardy of Ben Holbrook who took a maiden 6 for 16.

Braishfield all out for 88 but as always they enjoy themselves with a big smile on their faces.
