H&D 1st XI Review 2025
Not since the late 1980s has Hythe gone into a season losing so many players.
Tom Jones stepped up to take on the role as Captain and did a superb job supported by James Page under very difficult circumstances.
Unfortunately though it was another relegation and Hythe have slipped four divisions in as many years.
Things weren't helped with the overseas player deciding he was returning home after only a few games.
TJ topped the batting with 353 runs well supported by newcomer Aiden Leo 292 runs & Alex Nicholas 287 runs.
The Bowling saw Obaid Iqbal leave to go to OT's & Romsey and return two weeks later to take 23 wkts for the season. Aiden Leo also took 23 wkts whilst Liquat Hussain took 14 wkts.
12 year old Ollie Dixon became the youngest payer to play First XI Cricket and take 1-29 vs Winton.
