H&D Team Of The Decade 1973 -1979 (First Years Of League Cricket)


The 70s saw the start of League Cricket and Hythe & Dibden become Hampshire Champions. Then after 5 years of County 1 cricket Hythe were welcomed into the Southern League and amongst the elite. Their 2nd XI would play in the Southern League 2nd team league.

So what about Team of The Decade (or 7 league years). It's right that Brian Sexton who led the First team for 3 seasons including their Championship Season ~ should lead the side.

Hythe used a lot of players over the 7 seasons so the team includes two players who were only around for 1-2 seasons.
