Apologies for yet another email but we thought it was important to update everyone, before the weekend, on how the recent announcements will change things at the club.
Go to https://www.ecb.co.uk/news/1840498/ecb-statement-following-prime-minister-s-announcement-on-21-september for further information.
Outdoor cricket activity can still take place in line with ECB guidance
A 10pm curfew is now in place for all clubhouses selling food and drink
Venues must only offer table service and customers must be seated when consuming food and drink inside the premises
Face coverings must be worn indoors unless eating or drinking, i.e. if you’re entering/leaving or getting up to go to the toilet you must wear a mask
Seating, both inside and out, will be restricted to groups of 6 – do not move the furniture to accommodate larger groups
Social distancing / sanitising etc. still needs to be observed
NB: The ECB will be reviewing and updating both the indoor guidance for cricket and the guidance for clubhouses to reflect the latest government guidance and will reissue shortly.
The “Rule of 6” applies to Indoor cricket From Monday 28 September for over 18’s. Places Leisure have confirmed that the indoor league will not start until guidance changes.
Please contact a member of the committee if you have any queries.
Have a good weekend.
